FULL GNAC RELEASE

BOSTON, Mass. – For the second straight week to kick off the Simmons University Swimming & Diving 2025-2026 season, senior Carli Quinlan earned the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week award.

The Sharks started off the weekend on Friday on the road against the Smith College Bears where Quinlan booked a first place finish once again in the 200 yard freestyle thanks to a time of 2:00.79. Then, putting together another great race, Quinlan tacked on second place to her Friday night resume in the 100 yard butterfly, clocking in at 1:01.21 in a photo finish final lap.

In a quick turnaround, Simmons traveled to Wellesley to face the Blue as well as the Merrimack College Warriors (NCAA DI) where Quinlan made the only appearance in the top three with a third place finish in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 56.38. 

Simmons returns to the Holmes Sports Center on Friday, November 14 to host the University of New England Nor'easters for a 6 p.m. start time.
