GNAC RELEASE
WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons University Swimming & Diving's sophomore,
Chaelin Humphrey was selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Swimmer of the Week for their success in the pool on Friday.
Humphrey swam the 100 yard butterfly and came away with a season-best time of 1:06.66 to take the top spot against the University of New England (UNE) Nor'easters. Then, the sophomore booked yet another first place finish, this time in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 29.89. After completing individual races, Humphrey tacked on a second place highlight in the 200 yard freestyle relay with teammates
Laura Luthi,
Isabel Barry-Ruiz, and
Bee Eckels (1:52.10).
The Sharks look to Friday night of this week as they travel to Weston, Mass. for a meet against their hosts as well as Elms and Gordon College.
