Hawks Turn Away Sharks In Mid Week Action

BRISTOL, R.I. – Crossing state lines today, Simmons University Field Hockey battled the Hawks of Roger Williams on Bayside Field where the home team took care of business with a 4-0 win over the Sharks.

How It Happened
  • After a scoreless opening quarter, the home team was able to net a goal in the second to lead, 1-0 at halftime.
  • The Hawks continued to put pressure on the Sharks' defense and slowly added to their lead for the eventual 4-0 win. 
Beyond The Box Score
  • Keeper Trinity Williamson secured 12 saves which is the second straight game she has made double-digit saves.
  • Today's game marks only the second time the Hawks and Sharks have faced each other. 
  • Simmons kicks of conference play on the road on Saturday, September 13 at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ) at 12 p.m.
