Cougars Corral Sharks At Daly

BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Simmons University Field Hockey team returned back to Daly Field today as they welcomed the Clark University Cougars. After 60 minutes of play, the Cougars came away with the 3-0 win.

How It Happened
  • The Cougars went straight to work, orchestrating four penalty corners where the Sharks' defense limited the damage to one Clark tally. 
  • Simmons chalked up a pair of shots in the second but the visitors held on for the narrow 1-0 edge at halftime. 
  • Keeper Haley Bright made four saves in a third quarter as the Cougars rattled off seven shots, but were only able to add one more to their side (2-0). 
  • Clark tacked on one more in the final minutes for the non-league win.
Beyond The Box Score
  • Despite the loss, Simmons holds the upper hand in all-time meetings with a 4-3 record against the Cougars.
  • The Sharks travel up to Maine on Saturday, September 20 to face the Monks of St. Joseph's College at 11 a.m.
