NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Simmons University Soccer traveled to Connecticut today for Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play against the Albertus Magnus Falcons where the Falcons handled the Sharks, 3-1.

How It Happened

• Albertus Magnus struck early, capitalizing on a second chance opportunity after Sharks goalkeeper Lauren Sanchez made the initial save but the Falcons found the back of the net after corralling the rebounded shot, 1-0. In the final minutes of the first, the home team tacked on one more to their lead to go on top, 2-0 at halftime.
• In the 77th minute, Olivia Riley danced around multiple defenders, causing the Falcons' keeper to come off the line. Riley continued to make magic happen as the rookie slid the ball through the legs of the approaching keeper to put the Sharks on the board.
