BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons University Field Hockey returned to their home field to host the Albertus Magnus College Falcons in conference action. The Sharks were firing from all cylinders and earned the 10-0 victory.

How It Happened

• Less than one minute into the game, Ainslee Shrout collected her own rebounded shot to rip it past the Falcons' keeper for the first tally of the day. Continuing to add to their score, Hailey Brisson and Nora Desrosiers also joined in on the scoring to make it a 3-0 game after one quarter.
• Penelope Long netted the first two goals in the second, while Clio Cook-Sharp chipped in a goal of her own to bring the score to 6-0 at halftime.
• Shrout had her hand in both goals in the third as the senior netted the Sharks' seventh goal thanks to a feed from Brisson, followed by an assist from Shrout to Lilly Taglieri (8-0).
• Cook-Sharp slid in a feed from Alex Wemple (9-0) and capped off the evening with her third goal and the squads' 10th in the final minutes (10-0).

Beyond The Box Score

• Clio Cook-Sharp not only recorded her first collegiate goal but the first year also registered a hat-trick.
• Ainslee Shrout and Penelope Long each booked their first two-goal game tonight.
• The Sharks hit the road for their next battle as they go to New Hampshire to play the Colby-Sawyer Chargers on Saturday, September 27.
