BOSTON, Mass. – Simmons University Volleyball hosted the Wentworth Institute Leopards this evening at the Holmes Center where the Leopards were able to overcome the Sharks' storm in a 3-1 win.

How It Happened

• Wentworth capitalized off of an early 9-0 scoring spree to roll to a 25-11 first set win.
• Simmons flipped the script in the second frame, going on top 10-2. The Sharks were a force to be reckoned with and kept the visitors quiet en route to the 25-17 victory to even the score out at 1-1.
• The Leopards retaliated in the third, capturing the first two points and again made use of mid-game game run to claim the 25-14 win.
• In the fourth, the scoreboard was locked up four times before the visitors widened the gap to 16-10. Simmons clawed their way back however, to come within one (22-21), but the Leopards were able to close it out by a score of 25-22 for the overall 3-1.

• Carolina Rodriguez has recorded 18 digs in back-to-back games.
• The Sharks hit the road for the Roger Williams Invitational starting tomorrow against the Hawks at 6 p.m. in Bristol, R.I.
