BRIGHTON, Mass. – Simmons University Field Hockey hosted the Salve Regina Seahawks this afternoon at Daly Field for the Sharks' first home game of the 2025 season. The Seahawks were able to come out of Brighton with a 6-1 win.

How It Happened

• The Seahawks came out aggressive offensively, but the Sharks' defense was able to limit the damage in the opening minutes of the first quarter to trail by a score of 1-0 going into the second. 
• Despite two penalty corners for the home team, the visitors controlled the tempo in the second to go on top, 3-0 at halftime.
• After adding two in the third and one more in the fourth, Simmons did not back down as the home teams' Avery Allaire ripped in a shot from Hailey Brisson to bring the final score to 6-1.

• Avery Allaire netted her first collegiate goal this afternoon.
• Trinity Williamson registered a new career-high of 10 goals in today's game.
• The Sharks hit the road for their next game as they trek over to Rhode Island to face the Roger Williams Hawks on Wednesday, September 10.
