NEW ORLEANS, La. – Simmons University Cross Country was named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team, as announced by the organization last week.

The Sharks were one of 219 NCAA Division III programs to earn the distinction.

To qualify for All-Academic honors, teams must post a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other criteria.

Most notably, Simmons was one of just three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) members to receive All-Academic Team recognition.
