WINTHROP, Mass. – As announced by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) today, Simmons University Volleyball's Hannah Pridgeon and Carolina Rodriguez were named GNAC Player of the Week and Libero of the Week, respectively.

The newest member of the Sharks' 1,000-kill club, Pridgeon earned her fourth conference honor of the season following another standout week. The senior recorded 13 or more kills in all four of Simmons' matches, highlighted by a career-high-tying 23 kills against the Salve Regina University Seahawks. In that match, Pridgeon also recorded her 1,000th career kill, becoming the newest Shark to reach the milestone.

Rodriguez continued to anchor the Sharks' back row, posting a perfect reception percentage in two of Simmons' four matches this past week to claim her third weekly honor. The senior opened the week with 11 digs against Wentworth before recording 19 digs in a GNAC victory over Albertus Magnus College. Rodriguez closed out the week with 18 and 16 digs, respectively, in Saturday's non-conference action.

The Sharks return to their home court on Wednesday, October 21, to host cross-street rival Emmanuel College at 7 p.m.
