GNAC RELEASE

WINTHROP, Mass. – As announced today by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), Simmons University's first year player, Emily Horn was named the GNAC Rookie of the Week for her efforts in pacing the Sharks to a 2-0 week.

Horn kicked off the undefeated week with six draw controls, five goals, five ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a dominant 18-2 win over the visiting Albertus Magnus College Falcons. Then, this past Saturday on the road against Elms, Horn netted a career-high seven goals as well as her first two assists during her rookie campaign in the 19-3 route of the Blazers.

The Sharks return to Daly for a midweek tilt as they host the Norwich University Cadets at 7 p.m. in GNAC play.
