CSC RELEASE
BOSTON, Mass. – Simmons University Softball placed five student-athletes on the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as released by the organization today. Piper Kinney (Neuroscience), Emery Kreidel-Reimer (Psychology and Nutrition & Dietetics), Trinity Payne (Nursing), Emma Soule (Economics and Political Science), and Zoe Soule (Neuroscience) have been recognized for their standout work in the classroom and on the field this past season.Â
In order to be honored by the organization, the student-athlete must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
Kinney captured this award for the third time, Kreidel-Reimer and Payne have now been recognized twice, while the Soule sisters make their first appearance on the awards list from the CSC. Additionally, after earning National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region First Team honors as well as being named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Year for the third straight season, Kinney will advance as a finalist for CSC Academic All-America honors which will be announced on Jun 16.Â
