FULL GNAC RELEASE

BOSTON, Mass. – Simmons University Volleyball's libero Carolina Rodriguez has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Libero of the Week after steadying the Sharks' 2-1 record this past week.

The junior posted a 13 dig, six assist, and three ace game in a non-conference victory against the University of Southern Maine last Wednesday. Then, with the No. 6 seed on the line in the upcoming GNAC Tournament, Rodriguez was stellar for the Sharks, registering 27 digs to match her career-high in the 3-1 win over the Colby-Sawyer Chargers. Wrapping up the week on the court was a tough battle against the Saint Joseph College Monks where the libero booked 18 digs in the narrow loss.

Rodriguez and the rest of the Sharks have their eyes set to tomorrow night as they travel up to Maine to play the Saint Joseph College Monks once again, but this time in the GNAC Quarterfinals.
