NFHCA 2025 Division III National Academic Squad | NFHCA 2025 Division III Scholars of Distinction
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its academic awards over the past several days, and Simmons University Field Hockey was well represented following an outstanding fall semester in the classroom.
Twelve student-athletes earned recognition on the 2025 Division III National Academic Squad. To qualify, undergraduate student-athletes must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester and be nominated by their NFHCA member coaches. Representing the Sharks were Avery Allaire, Hailey Brisson, Sam Buck, Kaitlyn Frye, Ava Kahl, Penelope Long, Olivia Minotti, Jamila Mohamed, Katy Paveglio, Piper Rickman, Lilly Taglieri, and Alex Wemple.
Highlighting the group, Buck, Brisson, and Wemple earned the association's highest academic honor, being named 2025 Division III Scholars of Distinction. The trio was among 543 undergraduate student-athletes nationwide to receive the distinction, which recognizes those who achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA coaches.
