WATERVILLE, Maine – After capturing the 2025 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship and earning a NCAA Tournament appearance, the Simmons University Tennis team has been selected first in the 2026 NAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference office today.

The Sharks received 33 points and five first-place votes to claim the top spot in the poll. Husson was selected second with 27 points and one first-place vote, while Thomas and Lesley tied for third with 24 points apiece.

Simmons enters the season looking to defend its conference crown with a strong returning core that includes five members of last year's championship team. 

The first match of the 2026-27 campaign will take place on the road against non-conference opponent, Roger Williams in Bristol, R.I. on Tuesday, September 1.
