WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that Simmons University Volleyball's
Hannah Pridgeon and
Carolina Rodriguez earned GNAC All-Conference honors following noteworthy seasons on the court this fall. Pridgeon was named to the Second Team, while Rodriguez secured a spot on the Third Team.
Pridgeon capped off another standout season with 280 kills and 280 digs, marking one of the most well-rounded campaigns in the conference. The junior led the Sharks in total kills and finished fourth overall in the GNAC in that category. The junior also recorded 43 service aces, the second-highest mark on the team. Pridgeon posted remarkable consistency down the stretch, delivering five straight matches with 10 or more kills, including four consecutive outings with at least 14 kills. Defensively, she ranked second on the team, behind only Rodriguez, with a career-best 280 digs, highlighting her strong two-way presence. This marks the third straight season that Pridgeon has garnered All-Conference honors.
Rodriguez posted a breakout season, anchoring the Sharks' back row all season long, earning a place on the GNAC Third Team after collecting a career-high 441 digs. Rodriguez not only led Simmons in digs but also finished the season as the GNAC leader in total digs, 137 digs over the GNAC's voted Libero of the Year. Additionally, the junior libero was named GNAC Libero of the Week twice, sacrificing her body week in and week out to cover every ball between the lines. On October 25, the Carolina, Puerto Rico native hit the 1,000 career dig milestone in a 3-0 win over Albertus Magnus where she recorded 19 digs in the sweep. A familiar face in the league's postseason awards, Rodriguez has been recognized by the GNAC is all three seasons she has been a Shark.
Additionally, senior
Iliana Diaz was recognized on the GNAC Sportsmanship Team for her outstanding character and leadership.
