KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Simmons University Soccer was recognized for its success in the classroom, earning the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award.

United Soccer Coaches recognized 777 soccer teams, including 451 women's programs, for exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year.

The Sharks posted a 3.78 team GPA during the academic year, well above the 3.0 GPA required to earn the national honor. Simmons' 3.78 was also the highest GPA among Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) programs recognized with the award.

Simmons also tied for eighth nationally among NCAA Division III women's soccer programs, matching Wellesley College and the University of Rochester with a 3.78 GPA. It marks the second consecutive year the Sharks have ranked among the top-10 in Division III women's soccer in team GPA.

The award marks the 22nd time Simmons soccer has received the national academic honor.
